Columbia Student Attacked in Riverside Park

According to sources, the Vietnamese GS student, aged 26, was jumped in Riverside Park today (May 9, 2007) at around 7.30pm. He was running at around 108th street on the dirt path. He was asked the time and when he looked down to his watch, he was hit from behind. He fell down and was attacked by 4 to 5 black males. When they realized he had no money, they continued to beat him and fled the scene. He asked two people for help, and was finally helped by a third person, a Columbia Student who called the police. He was badly beaten.

**UPADTE. As far as we know, this is a 100% credible story. This report comes from a friend of the victim who was also at the hospital visiting. A policeman was also at the hospital interviewing in the victim for more information about the attack.
